The success gap is the time it takes you to act after making a decision. The larger the gap, the less likely you are to achieve sustainable success. The shorter the gap, the greater chance you have of not only making your dreams a reality, but making them come true sooner than later.

Typically you make a decision and then plan your next move. There’s certainly something to be said for strategic planning, however success comes from executing your plan, not from mapping it out.

Regardless of how smart you are, what type of education and experience you have, the HABIT of taking action gives you an amazing advantage over your competition.

I’m often asked what the commonalities are amongst my most successful clients. The first thing that comes to mind is that the time it takes them to implement an idea after deciding to do it is often less than 24 hours.

How long does it take you to take action after you make a decision?

The good news is that the action doesn’t have to be massive. Even the tiniest step forward is still moving in the right direction. You just have to get started.

Once you decide on an idea, project, or whatever, make it a point to take the first action steps in the next 24 hours. Once this becomes a habit, success is yours.
